How I Met Your Mother renewed

Is it just me, or does it look like Ted is either staring down Robin's top or plotting to take her against her will?

How I Met Your Mother is currently in its 6th season on CBS, and news recently broke that it will be receiving 2 more seasons. That’s a total of 8. That’s 8 years of Ted Mosby’s meandering tale about how he decided it was time to settle down and then eventually met his wife. Much like The Office, such a long run stretches the unique concept (Office has the faux documentary format, and HIMYM has the flashback narrative/unreliable narrator/almost amazing continuity) to the edge of ludicrous. With any hope, Ted meets the mother at the end of the current season and leaves the remaining two for courtship; and they better be amazing seasons because the entire crux of the title will have already been fulfilled by then.
